Communications Strategist

(1) Degree or diploma in marketing, communications or public relations, or equivalent experience. Minimum three (3) years experience in a public relations or communications-focused role. Change management experience is an asset.

(2) Proven experience working with SharePoint or similar intranet/content management platforms, particularly in creating, publishing and maintaining intranet content.

(3) Basic graphic design experience.  Photography and videography experience is an asset.

(4) Superior writing and communication skills. Ability to express and communicate ideas, concepts and complex programs, both written and orally, to a variety of audiences. Proficient in the English language. Demonstrated writing, editing and proofreading skills.

(5) Proven experience and ability to manage many projects having competing deadlines with attention to accuracy, consistency and collaboration with others.

(6) Proven interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to excel both independently and collaboratively within a team.

(7) Knowledge of the justice and/or policing environment is an asset.

(8) Valid Class 5 drivers license.

(9) Other related duties as required.
