Clerk II - Public Works

The City of North Battleford is seeking a highly organized and service-oriented individual to join the Public Works Department as a Clerk II  Public Works Administrative Assistant. This position plays an important role in supporting the services residents rely on every day and helps ensure the department operates efficiently, effectively, and professionally.

We are looking for someone who will help create an administrative office that is organized, responsive, and welcoming: a place where residents, contractors, suppliers, and employees receive timely assistance and high-quality customer service.

This role is more than answering phones and processing paperwork. We are looking for someone who can manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, coordinate information, and ensure important details do not get overlooked. The successful candidate will be comfortable balancing competing demands while providing dependable support to a busy operational department.

Reporting to the Waterworks & Roadways Manager, the Public Works Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support to departmental staff; respond to resident inquiries and service requests; prepare correspondence, reports, and documentation; maintain records and databases; process invoices and purchasing documents; coordinate meetings and schedules; assist with budget and reporting requirements; and support the effective flow of information throughout the department.

Qualifications

• Office Administration Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of previous clerical and administration experience
• Demonstrate knowledge of accounting and financial processes
