The Royal Canadian Legion Weyburn Branch #47 is seeking dependable, friendly, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Casual Event Staff.
Casual Event Staff assist with the food service, and cleanup of events hosted at the Legion, including private functions, celebrations, funerals, banquets, community events, and other special occasions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a team environment, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.
Flexible, on-call shifts will be scheduled based on event requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Provide food and beverage service to guests in a professional and courteous manner.
Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly and in accordance with applicable regulations.
Assist with food preparation, handling, and serving while following food safety standards.
Maintain clean and sanitary workspaces, including event rooms, kitchens, and service areas.
Assist with event dishwashing, and general cleanup following functions.
Respond to guest requests and help ensure events run smoothly.
Work cooperatively with management, kitchen staff, bartenders, and other event team members.
Follow all workplace health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
Perform other event-related duties as required.
Required Qualifications
Valid Food Safe Certificate.
Valid Serve It Right Saskatchewan certificate.
A satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules.
