Building Services Worker

The La Ronge Regional Housing Authority is currently looking for a permanent, part-time (20 hours per week) Building Services Worker to join their team in Stony Rapids!

The Position

• Deliver building maintenance services and repairs
• Unit turnover repairs
• Groundskeeping, and maintaining housing authority equipment and inventory
• Record keeping, such as inventory and purchase orders, etc.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Knowledge of the basic techniques employed in a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, painting, flooring, and electrical
• Experience servicing and repairing building mechanical equipment
• Ability to use hand and power tools and lift heavy loads
• Knowledge in the trades including carpentry, plumbing, heating, mechanical, painting, electrical, and groundskeeping work

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education, basic computer skills, training in the trades along with hands on experience in a maintenance and repair OR an equivalent combination is required.
• Self-motivated with the ability to handle stress, while prioritizing workloads and respecting peoples diversity and individual differences
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to participate in an on call program for emergencies for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
• A valid drivers license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment
