Building Services Supervisor

The La Ronge Regional Housing Authority is currently recruiting a Building Services Supervisor to join their team immediately. If you have proven problem-solving skills, work well in a team environment while leading others, are a results focused leader with experience in building and property maintenance, we would love to hear from you!

The Position

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the maintenance programs
• Provide leadership and supervision for the maintenance workers
• Tender and oversee contracted work to ensure work is completed to standard
• Develop and deliver an effective preventative maintenance program

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Basic knowledge in a variety of trades such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, flooring, and electrical
• Experience in estimating, materials purchasing, accounting and budget preparation
• Ability to promote positive working relationships with management, staff, and tenants
• Experience leading a team, supervising, planning, and coordinating employees and work tasks

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent, basic computer skills, some post-secondary and/or experience working in technical/trade training (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
• Ability to organize and participate in an on-call program for emergencies for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
• A valid driver's license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment
• Air and overnight travel, as required
