Bookkeeper/Accountant

Work hours are Tuesday to Saturday.

Term position until February/March with good potential to become full-time!

Reporting to the General Manager, you will

• Provide full cycle accounting and bookkeeping support, including A/P and A/R processing, data entry, general accounting, and financial statement preparation
• Calculate and remit PST/GST and all other reporting requirements and related filings.
• Administer payroll using ADP for all employees.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and year-end financial reports and financial statements.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting, including monitoring and reconciliation of bank accounts and company credit cards.

Requirements

• Post-secondary accounting education or formal training is a definite asset.
• 3+ years of full cycle accounting/bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software programs, Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Positive, motivated personality with strong organizational skills.   Committed to high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Enjoys working individually and also as a team with management and staff in a modern sales/service environment.  Easygoing, brings maturity and excellent communication skills.

Start date:   Negotiable; position is available now to cover a maternity leave, until February or March, 2027.  Potential for the role to become full-time.

Hours of work:  Tuesday to Saturday inclusive (8 hours/day, 5 days a week); 9:00 am  5:30
