Before & After School Program Leader (Student Position)

The Allan Before & After School Program Leader will help provide a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for children before and after the school day. This position is ideal for a responsible high school student who enjoys working with children, being active, and making a positive impact in the community. Training and ongoing support will be provided.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage children in a safe and inclusive environment.

Lead games, crafts, sports, outdoor play, and other recreational activities.

Assist children with homework and encourage positive social interactions.

Promote kindness, respect, teamwork, and inclusion.

Help with program setup, cleanup, and organization.

Follow all safety, emergency, and child protection policies.

Report concerns, injuries, or incidents to the Program Coordinator.

Communicate respectfully with children, parents, and staff.

Be a positive role model and help create a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

Minimum 15 years of age.

Currently attending high school.

Enjoy working with children ages 312.

Friendly, dependable, patient, and enthusiastic.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Willing to learn and participate in training.

First Aid/CPR, babysitting experience, or volunteer experience is an asset but not required.

Hours

Part-time, Monday to Friday, with morning and afternoon shifts during the school year.
