About this role
Lacasse Farms Ltd. is seeking a reliable and hardworking Specialized Livestock Worker to support daily livestock operations. The successful candidate will assist with cattle care, feeding, health monitoring, breeding support, and general farm maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the farm. Wages $19.75/hour, 48 hours per week. Disability insurance benefits. Housing available.
Main Duties
Feed livestock, monitor nutrition, and ensure access to clean water
Assist with breeding programs, calving, rearing, and herd management
Observe livestock for signs of illness, injury, or stress and report concerns
Carry out culling activities as directed by farm management
Administer medications or treatments under supervision
Operate and maintain farm equipment (tractors, loaders, feeding systems)
Clean barns, pens, corrals, and livestock handling areas
Maintain fencing, gates, and general farm infrastructure
Follow all farm safety protocols and animal handling procedures
Perform general farm duties as needed
Requirements
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
