Tasks
- Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas
- Diagnose livestock health issues
- Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses
- Handling animals
- Marking livestock as proof of ownership
- Monitor the calving process
- Monitoring animal health
- Perform livestock feeding
- Prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving
- Treat livestock health issues
- Feed and tend animals
- Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio
- security procedures
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- Formulate feeding program
- Maintain livestock performance records
- Select livestock for sale
- Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
