Wanuskewin Heritage Park is a non-profit Indigenous cultural centre and heritage site with a long history of hospitality and welcoming visitors. Our Conferences and Events team is looking for a Banquet Server to work closely with our kitchen and event teams to create seamless dining moments that honor tradition and elevate celebration. This role involves setting up and breaking down banquet spaces, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean, organized environment throughout the event. Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are essential for success in this position.
Your duties and responsibilities include
Providing excellent customer service and first class Indigenous hospitality
Serving food and beverages to guests in a professional and timely manner
Setting up and taking down tables, chairs, linens, audio visual equipment, banquet presentations, coffee and water service and other banquet materials before events
Cleaning catering facilities including table, floors, chairs, chafers, dishes, utensils, tableware etc.
Follow requirements of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System
Other duties as assigned.
Some requirements include
Minimum 1 year experience in restaurant or banquet service.
CPR, First Aid certification considered an asset.
Food safe level 1 considered an asset.
Ability to multitask, prioritize and problem solve.
Ability to work early mornings, nights, and weekends.
Physical ability to perform job duties.
