Assistant Team Leader - Food Store (15522)

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of full-time Assistant Team Leader onsite at our Food Store location in Paddockwood, Saskatchewan

What You Will Do

• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operatives vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives with a strong customer-focused approach.
• Support and guide daily retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and team coordination.
• Lead, train, schedule, and supervise team members to maintain efficient operations and high customer service standards.
• Support hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when required.
• Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
• Support cash handling, deposits, daily reporting, and point-of-sale system operations.
• Conduct inventory counts, audits, and loss prevention procedures.
• Champion and ensure compliance with all safety, asset protection, and operational policies and procedures.
• Become familiar with and adhere to Lake Country Co-op policies, such as selling of age restricted items and all government regulations relating to tobacco, liquor, lottery, and fireworks.

Who You Are

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years experience in retail grocery operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Highly organized and strategic, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, colla
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
• Able to fulfill physical job requirements, including standing for entire shift and lifting 25-50lbs.
• Carry a valid drivers license (Class 5 minimum).
