About this role
NutraSun Foods is seeking a dependable, self-motivated Assistant Miller to join our Regina, SK team. Reporting to the Shift Miller and Head Miller, key areas of responsibilities are wheat blending, cleaning, tempering, flour milling, record keeping, sanitation, planning, communication, and by product pelleting.
Responsibilities
Operate grain cleaning, tempering, and pelleting systems
Follow blending instructions to achieve target protein specifications
Monitor protein, dockage, and moisture levels and adjust processes as needed
Complete required documentation according to standard operating procedures
Identify opportunities to improve plant processes
Manage terminal and tempering bin space
Participate in milling-related training and professional development
Maintain GMP, QAI, ISO, HACCP, and CCP standards through proper hygiene and sanitation practices
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Troubleshoot process-related and minor mechanical issues
Provide backup support to the Shift Miller as required
Perform other duties assigned by the Head Miller/Shift Miller
Qualifications
Grade 12 or equivalent
Previous experience in a food manufacturing setting is an asset
Professional milling training is an asset
Boiler license is an asset
Demonstrated problem solving/decision making skills
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Excellent communication skills
