About this role
The Star City Community Arena is looking for a Seasonal Full Time Arena Facility Operator for the 2026-27 season.
DESCRIPTION Arena Facility Operator will be responsible for
Operating the ice re-surfacer (Zamboni), resurfacing ice and maintaining ice quality
Monitoring the ice plant and completing routine and daily inspection
Cleaning dressing rooms, washrooms, lobby, bleachers and other facility areas;
Emptying garbage and recycling and stocking washroom supplies
Following established cleaning schedules and checklists
Providing additional cleaning and on-site attendance during tournaments, busy periods and scheduled rentals
Snow and ice removal from entrances, walkways and emergency exits
Minor building and equipment maintenance and repairs
Opening and closing the facility
Assisting with setup and takedown for rentals, tournaments and special events
Monitoring the facility for safety hazard maintenance concerns and equipment issues;
Other rink related duties as required.
