AI Developer

In this role, you will

• Design, develop, test and maintain AI solutions and agentic applications on Camecos secure enterprise AI platform.
• Build and integrate AI use cases by connecting approved enterprise data sources, including GCP/BigQuery, Microsoft 365 and file shares.
• Implement and configure base and fine-tuned models and assemble approved workflows for AI agents.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code and contribute to code reviews, version control, automated testing and CI/CD practices.
• Develop and execute tests and evaluations for AI solution quality, reliability, security and performance.
• Apply security, privacy and responsible AI controls in accordance with Cameco's AI governance framework.
• Implement appropriate human oversight, authorization, logging and control mechanisms for AI agents that access information or perform actions across enterprise systems.
• Troubleshoot, validate and support deployed AI solutions in production.
• Work with architects and business partners to translate requirements into practical AI and automation solutions.

Required

• bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or related field;
• up to three years experience of software development experience, or applied education in AI/ML, data engineering, analytics or AI-enabled application development;
• equivalent combination of education and work experience considered;
• proficiency in Python or a comparable programming language and experience with Git, testing and CI/CD practices;
• knowledge of AI/ML techniques such as model integration, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation and agentic frameworks; and

experience or demonstrated ability to integrate applications with APIs and data sources
