The purpose of the Agriculture Claim Advisory Committee (ACAC) is to act as a voice for the members of Muskoday First Nation (MFN).  The ACAC will be responsible to coordinate, communicate, and collaborate opportunities between the members and leadership to keep the process open and transparent.  The ACAC will gather information and feedback from all members and provide feedback, guidance, and advisement to the Chief and Council and seek to achieve an outcome that is in the best interest of all members. The focus will be on education, consultation, discussion, implementation, and management of the settlement agreement.

The Agriculture Claim Advisory Committee will

?    Identify and improve communications with all members through information sharing, advocacy, and education;

?    Provide information to all members regarding the negotiation process as well as other options available to MFN ensuring all members are aware and understand all options in pursuing the agriculture claim;

?    Travel to membership meetings, ensuring meetings are respectful with an emphasis on listening and understanding;

?    Ensure all members have an opportunity to participate and their voices heard;

?    Maintain good relations, facilitate collaboration, and effective communication between all parties.

?    Provide feedback, guidance, and advice to Chief and Council on key initiatives or decision-making items;

?    To ensure that all information provided to the membership is delivered in a neutral manner ensuring the audience understands all aspects of the options;

Interested Individuals Must

Be 18 years of age;

Be a member of MFN;

Have good organizational skills;

Have a good understanding of the specific claim process;

Have a good understanding of the options set before MFN;

Treat all members with respect, dignity and fairness;
