About this role
Armand Bekkattla Treatment Centre is recruiting for an Addictions Counsellor Position.
The applicant will work with the existing treatment centre counselling staff in deliverying a holistic, community development alcohol recovery program.
All interested applicants need to demonstrate the following qualifications:
? A Chemical Dependency/Addictions Counselling Diploma or equivalent course
? An understanding of addictions programming and treatment programs
? Proven presentation and facilitation preparation and delivery skills
? Exceptional communication ? written, verbal & interpersonal skills
? Ability to work independently, work well under pressure and be self motivated
? Reliable, trustworthy & discreet in order to maintain confidentiality
? Must lead a life of sobriety
? Ability to speak the Dene language & understand the culture and values
? Experience working with computers
? Ability to work as a team member
? Group counseling and one to one counselling skills
SALARY RANGE: Based on experience and qualifications.
