What youll accomplish
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
o Manage and oversee the consolidated month-end and year-end financial close processes
o Prepare and report accurate financial statements and ensure compliance with standards
o Develop and deliver analyses supporting the variances to budget and prior periods
o Anticipate future trends, identify risks and opportunities, and proactively plan and/or implement mitigation strategies
o Review and evaluate cost reduction opportunities
o Provide analytical insights and recommendations to support senior leadership decision-making
o Maintain accounting policies and procedures and adhere to controls to safeguard company assets and reduce risk
o Manage financial performance, monitor project and operational budgets, analyze variances and forecast future needs
- Manage external audits and assist in addressing audit inquiries
- Team Leadership
o Lead and mentor accounting team
o Champion accountability for data quality, forecasting and budgeting
- Identify and support opportunities for continuous improvement such as eliminating repetitive tasks and improving financial workflows through technology
- Fulfill all aspects of the Cigar Lake Administration Manager role, including:
o Consolidate and distribute financial information, coordinate JV partner correspondence and manage budget files
o Coordinate and support JV governance activities, including preparing and presenting materials and leading Audit Committee meetings
Qualifications and skills
- Accounting Degree and CPA designation, with 10+ years relevant experience
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, SAP is an asset
Work Location & Travel
- Saskatoon Corporate Office
- Occasional short trips to the various project sites as required
Requirements
Compensation Details
$148,900 - $175,150
