The Ministry is seeking a motivated Equipment Operator to support the operation and maintenance of provincial roads, highways, and airports in the Kamsack Section. The successful candidate will be safety-focused, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team while coordinating daily crew activities and equipment operations.
Candidates must possess a valid Class 1A driver's licence and knowledge of heavy equipment operation, maintenance, workplace safety practices, traffic control procedures, and basic mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, fuel, and lubrication systems. Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and safety awareness are essential.
Responsibilities include coordinating daily crew assignments, operating and maintaining heavy equipment such as tandem trucks, graders, loaders, and snowplows, performing highway maintenance and snow removal activities, monitoring equipment operation, and maintaining records of equipment usage, repairs, and materials.
