100951 - Compliance Officer

The Ministry of Finance's Revenue Division is seeking a Compliance Officer to support the administration of Saskatchewan's consumption tax programs, including Provincial Sales Tax, Fuel Tax, Tobacco Tax, Liquor Consumption Tax, and Vapour Products Tax. The required knowledge is typically obtained through an accounting diploma, a business degree specializing in accounting, or equivalent accounting education combined with auditing or taxation experience.

Responsibilities include providing guidance on provincial tax legislation, responding to taxpayer inquiries, conducting outreach and education activities, reviewing business and financial records, performing compliance reviews and audits, researching tax issues, and promoting compliance with provincial tax programs. Travel within Saskatchewan, including overnight travel, may be required.
