The Ministry of Social Services is offering a Non-Permanent Opportunity (9 months or more) in Estevan and area for individuals interested in supporting children, families, and vulnerable clients through after-hours emergency services. Candidates must demonstrate accountability, professionalism, inclusiveness, adaptability, and a commitment to public service excellence. Knowledge of First Nations and Mtis perspectives, multicultural values, poverty, systemic barriers, and socio-economic factors affecting individuals and families is essential.

Applicants must possess knowledge of human services policies, practices, and procedures, typically gained through a diploma or degree in a human services-related field and/or relevant experience. Strong communication, digital, interpersonal, organizational, and self-management skills are required. Candidates must be legally eligible to operate a vehicle in Saskatchewan, be able to travel, work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, transport children or parents, and lift and carry children up to approximately 20 kg.

Responsibilities include interviewing and assessing individuals and families, evaluating risk factors and service needs, developing case plans, responding to safety concerns and crisis situations, documenting case information, coordinating community resources, and advocating for clients.
