The Advocate for Children and Youth is seeking two permanent full-time Investigators in Saskatoon. Reporting to the Executive Director, Investigations & Systemics, this role investigates systemic issues affecting children and youth, including child deaths, critical injuries, and concerns related to programs and services. The position offers the opportunity to support system improvement and advocate for the rights and well-being of children and youth across Saskatchewan.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience working within child and youth-serving systems and strong investigative, analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills. Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including Indigenous communities, is essential.

Candidates must have a university degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience in social sciences, social work, law, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of legislation, government programs, and services affecting children and youth is required, along with experience conducting investigations, gathering and analyzing evidence, interviewing, report writing, project and case management, research, risk assessment, and electronic information systems.

Responsibilities include conducting investigations, preparing reports and recommendations, managing cases and projects, identifying systemic issues, and supporting improvements to services for children and youth.
