The Fleet Services Branch of the Ministry of Highways is seeking motivated Journeyperson Mechanics for the Nipawin Fleet Repair Shop.
This permanent full-time opportunity offers competitive pay, a regulated work schedule with one day off every three weeks, and the chance to support Saskatchewans highway maintenance and construction operations. Employees will maintain, repair, and modify trucks, highway maintenance equipment, light vehicles, and other fleet assets.

Applicants must hold a Saskatchewan-recognized Journeyperson Certificate as a Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic, Truck and Transport Mechanic, or Agricultural Machinery Technician. Fourth-year apprentices may also be considered. A valid Class 3A drivers licence, or the ability to obtain one during probation, is required. Candidates should possess knowledge of regulations, principles, and practices related to heavy equipment repair and maintenance. Strong diagnostic, technical, digital, communication, organizational, leadership, interpersonal, mathematical, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Duties include preventative maintenance and inspections; diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and computerized system issues; repairing and replacing components; performing routine servicing; assisting with equipment modifications; and maintaining computerized records.
