Job Information
The Senior Advisor, French Language Monitoring and Evaluation, is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, monitoring and reporting on a comprehensive framework for quality and risk management, related to Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT)French Language Communications and Services.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert policy, planning, monitoring and evaluation leadership, and advice to the Executive Director of the Francophone Affairs Secretariat.
Update and implement a GNWT-wide Monitoring, Evaluation and Accountability (MEA) Plan related to GNWT French Language Communications and Services.
Support Institutions' policy/ evaluation staff to consider and develop appropriate evaluation approaches and data collection.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities.
Knowledge of social science research methodologies, program evaluation, and performance measurement.
Knowledge of acts, regulations and policies related to Official Languages
Skilled in program evaluation.
Ability to translate data (qualitative and quantitative) and information relevant to specific audiences useful to decision makers.
Written communication skills for a variety of areas including Ministerial and departmental briefing notes and correspondence, policy, and curriculum documents.
Planning skills to translate the vision into achievable goals and actions.
Project management skills with the ability to lead large and complex initiatives from idea to implementation.
Typically attained by.
A degree in Social Sciences and three (3) years of related experience designing and implementing social science research; conducting quality control work, performance measurement systems; program review and/or program evaluation frameworks; including one (1) year of progressive writing experience such as research studies and report writing.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Salary Information
The salary range for this position is from $56.99 per hour to $68.06 per hour (approximately $111,131 - $132,717) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,700.
