Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure (MTI) ) is seeking a highly motivated individuals to work with our Northern and Parkland Interlake Region.

Duties
Reporting to the Technical Services Engineer the position is responsible for providing specialized technical engineering support in the areas of geometric design, roadway and intersection capacity analysis, highway route location, planning and functional design studies, public participation programs, geometric design standards and report preparation.
Qualifications
Essential
Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or the successful completion of the Department’s Level 3 training program or an equivalent amount of education and experience in a related area may be considered.
Directly related experience in highway planning, highway design, traffic analysis, and construction (including highways, intersections and interchanges).
Excellent analytical, decision making, and problem solving skills.
Excellent written communication skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while establishing priorities and competing deadlines.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Knowledge of roadway geometic design principals, for use in design and developing design standards.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Desired
Demonstrated experience using ArcGIS or ArcGIS Pro for GIS mapping, spatial analysis, data management, and related technical work.
Conditions of Employment
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Must posses and maintain a valid Class 5I or 5F driver’s licence.
Must be able to travel by air or ground with overnight stays.
