Duties
Reporting to the Manager, Service Delivery, the Business Analyst and IT Support provides business analysis, application support, desktop coordination, and technology operations services for the Department of Housing, Addictions and Homelessness. This position plays a key role in supporting business applications, departmental technology services, and modernization initiatives. The Business Analyst & IT Support ensures business needs are effectively translated into technology solutions while maintaining reliable and efficient support for departmental systems, technology services, and end users.
Qualifications
Essential
Post-secondary degree a in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analysis, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Demonstrated experience conducting business analysis, including requirements gathering, business process analysis, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and user acceptance testing
Experience supporting business applications, troubleshooting technical issues, resolving problems, and providing effective end-user support.
Experience working with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power BI, and Power Apps to support business operations, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
Knowledge of business analysis methodologies, systems development lifecycle (SDLC), project delivery practices, and continuous improvement principles.
Experience coordinating technology services and assets, including software licensing, hardware inventory management, PC renewal programs, printer refresh initiatives, and desktop support activities.
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure cloud services, and emerging technologies, with the ability to support future business solutions, system integrations, and modernization initiatives.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a dynamic environment.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate with a diverse group of clients, stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.

Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise, and effective documentation for a variety of audiences.
Conditions of Employment
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position including sitting, standing, lifting and carrying related equipment weighing up to 20 lbs.
