The Corporate Information and Content Management Operations Office (CICMO), within the Technology Support and Operations (TSO) division, provides Government of Alberta staff with leadership and guidance for managing information resources effectively and efficiently. CICMO also sets the strategic direction for information management, helping staff treat information as a valuable corporate asset.
The Forms Management unit supports government programs by developing and maintaining accessible, effective, and user-focused forms. The unit works with partners across government to streamline information collection, improve form usability, and support consistent service delivery.

Role Responsibilities
As a Technical Specialist on the Forms and Technical Services Team, you will be responsible for maintaining existing applications and implementing new systems that support key digital initiatives. Reporting to the Team Lead, Technical Services, you will build web-based solutions, automate complex processes, enhance public access to services, and support the ongoing transition toward a digital government.
The responsibilities of this role include
Developing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise web applications supporting various GoA services.
Designing, developing, and implementing digital forms and workflow solutions using modern web technologies, enterprise platforms, and industry accessibility standards.
Collaborating closely with team members, technical leads, and internal stakeholders to support service delivery and system availability.
Using AI-assisted tooling effectively to assist, automate and improve efficiency of work.
To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex application issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on service delivery, citizen and client support, teamwork, and collaboration.
The ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining a proactive approach to time management, service quality, and deliverable outcomes.

Qualifications
Requirements
2-year diploma in a related discipline (e.g. Computer Sciences, Information Technology). Equivalencies may be considered.
Core Development Languages: C# .NET, Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS.
Data & Web Technologies: JSON, SQL, XML, RESTful Web Service APIs.
Hands-on development and administration experience with Windows Server, IIS, SharePoint Online and Microsoft M365.
Demonstrated ability to effectively use AI-assisted tools (such as Microsoft Copilot or similar technologies) to support research, analysis, content development, troubleshooting, and productivity improvements.
Preferred experience
Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Forms development and administration.
Enterprise workflow engines (e.g., Power Platform, AEM Workflows).
Platform experience with ServiceNow
Equivalencies
A related 1-year certificate from a recognized postsecondary institution and 1 year of related experience in a related discipline (e.g. Computer Sciences, Information Technology.
